Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer’s Pet Sematary remake was the focus of a lengthy Entertainment Weekly preview last week, and yesterday a new poster crawled from its tacky, brambly pelt. Now, the trailer for this new take on Stephen King’s most unsettling book has arrived. Visuals from the book abound—the speeding Orinco trucks; muddy feet against clean sheets; that scalpel—but the directing duo is also leaning into a folk horror element that, in the wake of The Witch, The Ritual, and Netflix’s upcoming Apostle, feels very of the moment.
